You still have time to get your team together for the WRC Golf Scramble. We have about 15 or so teams already which will make the post golf party a great time down at Hooba's. It's been a great week here. The tasting room has been busy all week and lots of fun people have found their way to the winery. Our new friends, Ryan (not to be confused with employee of the month runner-up, Ryan)and Josh visited on Friday and didn't leave until just minutes ago. They had a meeting in Pendleton this morning but both of them woke up not feeling well. They seemed fine last night. You've read my blogs before where strangers come into the tasting room and end up staying for dinner or whatever. These guys stayed the weekend and might just go back to Huntington Beach and pack their bags for the move to Husum.

This week will be a busy one. We're going out to dinner tonight with Hooba (His restaurant is closed Mon-Wed.). Call if you would like to join us. Tomorrow night I'm looking forward to dinner with Bob from Cascade Cliffs Winery. Wednesday we get a visit from Joe from El Mirador Winery in Walla Walla, Thursday we're hosting a business after hours Chamber of Commerce function and Friday begins another busy weekend. Somewhere during the week Ryan and Josh might even return.

Harriot's Port is selling fast. I had no idea the response would be so huge. I promise we'll make more next year but if you want any of the 2006 vintage you'd better get up here.

My goal today is to post pictures on the blog of things I always say I'm going to post but never do. If you have a picture taken here at the winery I would love to post it. Please no sick pictures of Mini the winery pig. Her self esteem is low enough.

If you're coming out with a group give me a call. I'll make sure I'm around to give you the experience that only me, the employee of the month, can give. Sorry Employee of the month runner-up, Ryan. Maybe next month.

You rock, Husum.

Joel

Hey Joel, Ryan, Minnie, Newman, and crew,

We are here in Iowa testing resiling and pinot noir and we have a dispute that we need help resolving...

Two beleive that reisling is tops with roasted marshmallows (roasted on soy candles) and two beleive that it the pinot noir wins. We need help in choosing the winner. By the way we are not impressed with the woman kissing minnie on your blog. We have pigs everywhere and we will be kissing none. Just had a great dinner which happened to be pork chops with of course Wind River Reisling and Pinot Noir.

Sincerely,

Reisling Swillers from Iowa, Jon, Elizabeth, Pat, and Jerry.

PS. Jerry and Pat are extremly jaelous about our new induction into the barrel club. Pat is reviewing her credit card statements to see if she to qualifies. We will be sure to let you know. Monday is here so we now have to sober up and get to work.
