My 12 inches is gone. It was nice to have 12 inches but it made it difficult to get things done. I'll try to post a picture of my 12 inches later. The bad thing about having 12 inches is that people are too scared to come up to the winery to taste wine. If you're ever concerned about the snow here, no matter how many inches I have, please call.
I've been a driving fool this past week. I was scheduled to do a tasting/bottle signing in Centralia last Friday but the flood forced it to be cancelled. After seeing what happened to Lewis County during the flood I can't possibly complain about my 12 inches. I look forward to returning to Oly's Wine Shop when the mess is mopped up.
Because of the I-5 closure I drove over I-90 and stopped by Ellensburg Wine Works. This shop is in Ellensburg. They sell wine. If you're in the area stop by. Nice people, nice shop.
Since my tasting/bottle signing in Centralia was cancelled I was able to schedule one at the last minute at D & W Wine Cellars in Bonney Lake. My list of top 5 favorite wine shops, which is up to about 25, now includes this place. Deanna and Willow already have a great following and aren't afraid to show their guests a good time.
Corky Cellars on Saturday did not disappoint. As always, I had a great time and had the opportunity to see a lot of familiar faces. Thanks to all of you who came out to say hi. Dinner afterwards was especially fun.
This week I'm off to Mexico for the annual Wind River Cellars Holiday in Mexico trip. Too bad the good people of Mexico aren't able to see my 12 inches. If you would like to order wine for the holidays please do it today or tomorrow. We'll cover the shipping.
I'll miss you Husum!
